Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2026
───
Introduction
These terms cover use of duetright.com and how DuetRight LLC ("DuetRight," "we," "us," or "our") works with clients. We are a licensed and insured general contractor based in Seattle, WA. If a signed estimate and these website terms disagree, the signed estimate controls.
If you have any questions, contact us at:

───
The estimate is the agreement
Work starts only after you accept a written estimate. That estimate is the agreement between DuetRight LLC and the client named on it: scope, price, and schedule.
Changes to scope or price need a written change order you approve before we do that extra work.
───
Payment
A deposit may be required before work begins. The remaining balance is due upon project completion. Invoices unpaid after 30 days are subject to a 1.5% monthly finance charge.
Payment methods accepted without additional charge: ACH, check, Zelle, and Venmo (info@duetright.com). Credit/debit card payments incur a 2.9% processing fee.
───
Warranty
DuetRight warrants workmanship for one (1) year from project completion.

───
Access and scheduling
Please keep the work area accessible. A no-show fee of $140 applies if work cannot commence due to lack of access. Communicate scheduling changes at least 24 hours in advance.
───
Existing finishes and personal property
Protective materials (painter's tape, masking, drop cloths, and floor covering) are used as standard prep. Removing tape or protection can lift existing paint, finish, or caulk that was not properly adhered by a prior coating. That is a pre-existing condition. Repair or refinishing of those surfaces is not included unless it is written into the estimate as a line item. Moving, shifting, or working around furniture and belongings can cause minor dents, scuffs, or marks. DuetRight is not liable for incidental damage of that kind to personal property, furnishings, or existing finishes, except where caused by our negligence. Client is responsible for removing or protecting fragile, high-value, or irreplaceable items before work begins. Items left in the work area are left at Client's risk.
───
Cancellation and disputes
You may cancel in writing before work begins. Costs incurred to date are payable by the client. Disputes are resolved by binding arbitration in King County, WA. Washington State law governs. Privacy: duetright.com/privacy-policy. Text messages: duetright.com/sms-terms. We may update these website terms. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the current version.
