What to Expect When You Renovate With DuetRight

Renovation feels easier when you know what is happening, who is responsible, and what comes next. Our process turns an early idea into a defined scope, a managed build, and a finished space you can enjoy.

Before the work: turning an idea into a real plan

  1. 01

    The in-home consultation

Stan comes to your home, looks at the actual space, and writes up what he found — not a sales visit, a findings report. Free, and there is no obligation attached to it.

  2. 02

We work out what it takes

Stan's report comes back to the office, where Austin works out the cost. He will have questions — some for our own crew, some for you. Better to ask them now than to discover them behind a wall later.

  3. 03

    The quote, and the agreement

Austin sends you a quote with everything written into it: scope, materials, terms. Read it, ask for changes, ask for it again. Approving that quote is the agreement — and after that, nothing gets added to your project without your written approval.

Typically about a week from consultation to an approved quote. On larger projects, expect one to two weeks of back-and-forth — that is a good sign, not a bad one.

  4. 04

    You choose what you see

Tile, vanity, mirror, fan, fixtures — every finish you will look at every day is yours to pick. Everything you will never see, we choose, and we do not economize there. Waterproofing and the things behind the wall are where a bathroom quietly succeeds or fails.

  5. 05

    Permits

Angelo files the permits himself, through the Seattle Services Portal, and manages them through to issuance. Plan on at least two weeks for the city — we schedule the work around that, not against it. Our Seattle permit guide explains who approves what.

During the work: no silence, no surprises

  1. 06

    Materials arrive before we do

We buy the materials before the first day of work. It sounds mundane; it is the single biggest reason projects stall. A job of ours does not stop halfway through waiting on a box of tile.

  2. 07

We start — usually within a week

Once the quote is approved and materials are in hand, work typically begins within about a week.

  3. 08

    Daily updates, with photos

Every day there is work in your home, you get an update with photos — sent by Austin, who has been your point of contact since the quote. You should never have to ask us what happened today.

  4. 09

Changes, whether you asked for them or we found them

Sometimes you want something different. Sometimes we open a wall and find rot. Either way it works the same: Austin prices the change, you approve it in writing, and only then does the crew touch it. Nothing gets built on a verbal maybe.

After the work: we do not disappear

  1. 10

    The walkthrough

We walk the finished space with you and go through all of it together. Anything that needs attention gets handled before we call it done.

  2. 11

    30 days, then 90 days

We check in twice after you are living in the space — at 30 days and again at 90. Not to sell you anything. Small things are easiest to fix while they are still small.

  3. 12

    A year of workmanship warranty

Your work is covered for one year, we respond to warranty calls within 48 hours, and we register your manufacturer warranties for you. It is all written out plainly on our warranty and aftercare page.

Life is hard. Bathroom renovations should be easy.
