It generally depends on your goals. A minor bath update—such as replacing floors, adding a new fixture, or upgrading an old tub—might only take a week or two. A full bathroom renovation typically takes about four weeks from our first day on site to the last, and our recent ones ran three to six weeks. Before work starts, expect about a week for your estimate, plus two or more weeks if the city needs to review a permit. A microcement shower needs 7 days to cure before regular water use.
If you are moving walls, converting a tub to a walk-in shower, or relocating major plumbing, you will likely need one. Smaller updates, like new floors or cabinetry, may not. When a permit applies, we pull it: we file through the Seattle Services Portal, meet the inspectors on site, and plan at least two weeks for the city.
Most homeowners stay home. We seal off the work area and clean up daily. If it is your only bathroom, plan where you will shower before we start: the room is out of use while we work, usually about four weeks for a full renovation.
We usually recommend microcement: seamless walls and floors with no grout lines to clean or reseal, and our price of $57–$60 per sq ft includes materials. Tile is still a good choice if you want a classic look or have a specific tile in mind. Tile installation starts around $50 per sq ft, and the tile itself is usually priced separately.
